Studios use it all the time. It is called a sync generator. Its a basic piece of equipment in any televison studio.It electroniclly matches the the line read rate on the monitors or TV screens. Sync generators have been around as long as TV cameras so it is not some new video magic. It makes it easy to video tape another screen without the annoying roll on the screen. It has to be done at first generation though ie at time of signal to tape or you lose the advantage. Anyone with a modest studio of their own can do this. Let's set this argument aside, its a done deal. Don Ledger
