No doubt many UFO reports in the UK and western Europe could be attributed to these launchings. Other than the testing of these baloons in North America it's doubtful that many such UFO reports would have been generated in Canada and the United States. Unless of course the Soviet Union was doing the same thing and were more successful at it:-) To my knowledge we never caught them at it. Don
