Sorry for the delay in my reply. >Serge, it appears you probably have cases with other types of >verified data in them (not necessarily numerical) [...] > I hope you will help us out with this as I do not >have the vast number of cases you apparently have at your >disposal. I am not an authority on the Belgium sightings. I, don't don't have cases up my sleeve that are not of public knowledge. I merely and merrily got a good reference on the sightings: Vague d'Ovni sur La Belgique, written by the SOBEPS in 1991, a 502 pages book on the Belgium UFO flap. The tight texts have been written by maybe a dozen different individuals. I don't think this book has ever been translated into English. This is rather sad: the Belgium UFO flap gives some new insight on the phenomenon. Of course this information wouldn't keep the bedunkers away from their agenda or the skeptics away from their beliefs, but some of the stuff does make you think that some very important experiment was undergone. I gather there has been a sequel to the book, but I haven't been able to put my hands on it. Maybe, it's time I do. >[...] and we should >attempt to post what we feel are the most skeptic resistant in >this regard. Not interested in having any kind of discussion with skeptics: a total loss of time. No argument or case of any nature has ever changed a skeptic's or a debunker's attitude towards the subject of UFOs. I don't pretend to be able to. Of course, the bad guys will pretend the same about UFO "buffs". Great, let's have a divorce then. We'll keep the house, they can take the rest. >It would also be interesting to determine any possible >connections with other similar cases that happened within that >particular time frame, and perhaps at the same time, gather >suggestions from people of different disciplines as to how other >scientific analyses or breakdowns might be performed on same. >(i.e. analyses that haven't been performed already.) I cannot undergo this kind of work in my present situation. Programming computer applications leaves you very little time to do anything else. I am even behind my List readings and I have just begun some translations for someone who will likely kill me if I don't do something quick. But nothing is impossible and I will surely throw in a few quoted lines when I finally lose patience over good old Tim's "satisfactions" concerning the flying triangles in Belgium. As for connections, Andy Denne did report the following in August: >>I'm glad someone brought this up. To be honest it's quite >>amusing to hear all the American specialists on the Belgian >>flap. See, I used to live in the most southern part of Holland >>VERY close to Belgium at the time of the flap, and me and my >>family had several sightings ourselves. Now I know that no one's >>going to say: "Oh well, if you say so and saw it..." right now >>;-) Best regards, Serge Salvaille
