Subject: Jim Dilettoso Finally Exposed for Good?


Dear List:

It is with a feeling of mixed emotions, that I must announce to
you, that this week's issue of the Phoenix New Times, has an
extremely devastating expose of UFO photo "analyst" and image
computer "expert," Jim Dilettoso.

This new, shocking expose can be found at:

The expose, with photos, is their LEAD COVER story for this
issue.

I recommend that everyone read this piece and tell others about
it, since it covers numerous subjects about ufos and is not "just
another expose" about Jim Dilettoso.

While Billy Meier and his unobjective, religious, and fanatical
believers such as Jim Deardorff, Michael Hesemann, and good old
"Jerome" in the Netherlands will undoubtedly find ways to
rationalize the startling revelations in this devastating expose,
the burden of proof is on them to DISPROVE these new
allegations.

I "psychically" predict that they will _not_ be able to do so,
and will just ignore this expose because it makes them look like
very gullible idiots who don't think critically. I realize this
is a blunt term, but these are the adjectives that come to mind.

The _truth_ is, the investigative reporter for the Phoenix New
Times, decided to independently research Dilettoso and Meier, and
found (surprise!) that Dilettoso is 100% guilty of doing
everything from lying about having various degrees from assorted
universities, to outright swindling millionaire Jordi Hormel to
the tune of several _million_ dollars.

The reporter also proves, according to recent court records he
cites, that Jim Dilettoso and Village Labs have been running a
scam all along over these past years, and that while Jim was
busily mugging for the cameras exposing the "Phoenix UFO"
nonsense with fellow "experts" such as Tom King, Dilettoso was
busy fighting a court order to keep from being _evicted_ by his
landlord.

Members of the Hormel family are quoted in the expose, and they
are on record as saying that they regret that they ever funded
Dilettoso -- who made yet more wild claims recently that he
helped with the special effects for the movie "Titanic"!!

The article also cites the testimony of De Anza employee Ken
Dinwiddie, who confirmed that Dilettoso _never_ did an analysis
of the Meier photos, as claimed, contrary to what is stated (and
illustrated with _fake_ pictures) in the original Meier color photo
journal books that Jim Deardorff is so enamored with.

The article goes on to cite how Dilettoso _and_ Wendelle Stevens
_faked_ UFO "photo analysis" documents on NASA stationary --
specifically regarding a series of photos faked in Puerto Rico
that purport to show a "UFO" being chased by a "Tomcat" Air Force
fighter aircraft.

Jim Dilettoso, naturally, "authenticated" these photos as well,
nevermind the fact that the photographer of the pictures in
question has already confessed that it was a _hoax_.

The article goes on and on, for many pages, and also disproves
Jim's "analysis" of the Phoenix UFO lights, while a barrage of
_real_ photo experts and Ph.D.s are quoted throughout the piece and
are on record as calling Dilettoso everything from a "liar" to
describing his "scientific" techniques as "bullshit."

The article also exposes Frances Emma Barwood, and mentions her
right wing militia fanatical husband, as well as UFO "lobbyist"
Stephen Bassett.

The expose also criticizes the the USAF for not dealing with the
public in the best way they could (and probably should have) over
the Phoenix lights -- but most importantly, provides _new_
evidence that the "UFOs" were _definitely_flares_ -- evidence
that Tom King would even be hardpressed to deny.

In summation, the writer takes to task (and rightly so) _both_
the UFO community and the mainstream media, for not doing proper
investigations or thinking critically.

More importantly, is also _proves_ that Jim Dilettoso has conned
people, literally, out of _millions_ of dollars over the years and
that the Village Labs PR frenzy ths past year was yet another
scam designed to bail them out while fighting being evicted under
court order.

According to the article, Jim Dilettoso, because of a judge's
court order, is leaving the building where Village Labs existed,
and "the word" in Phoenix is that Village Labs is shutting down
-- despite their new "web presence" which implies they are
legitimate.

Investors, and UFOlogists, and the media, beware!!

Finally, I mention all of this because while exposing Jim
Dilettoso for the fraud that he is, is one thing, the article is
also devastating for the UFO field as well.

The article, for example, cites how Dr. Jim Harder's wife claims
her husband is "an ET," and the journalist takes the UFO field to
task for being the home of basically, stupidity. I don't know
what else to call it.

Some absurd and blatantly false claims of author Jim Marrs are
also exposed, and the UFO field once again is pounded repeatedly
-- and _rightly_so_, because it was _our_ fault (except those few
who have exposed Dilettoso in the past and knew better all along)
for drinking the New Age and pseudoscientific "kool- aid" that
has now come back to haunt us.

In a nationwide radio show that I did in January, I declared that
I was labeling 1998 the Year of Accountability in the UFO field.
I meant what I said, and this is just the first of many such
devastating exposes that will be coming out in the future.

While I did _not_ write the Phoenix New Times piece, I was
interviewed, and as the writer makes clear, not only were dozens
of people interviewed, but the author _independently_confirmed_ my
past allegations of fraud concerning Jim -- which Jim Deardorff
and other Billy Meier cult "ambassadors" have chosen to ignore.

The situation now exists as this: There are now two basic camps
or schools of thought in the UFO field on the "believer" side.
Those who think critically, and those who do not, and it is these
latter types like those who promote the Meier case (with _no_ real
scientific evidence) and Jim Dilettoso's "analysis" fakery.

This expose should serve as a _warning_notice_ to everyone like
Dilettoso -- people like Bob Dean, Tom King, Wendelle, Sean
Morton, Hesemann, Mantle, Santilli, and others.

And let's be _honest_ with ourselves here: We _all_know_ this list is
a lot longer than the above-mentioned names.

The media is closing in, you are going to be exposed, and
unfortunately for these types, if there is any chance to ever get
the UFO field to be taken seriously, these people _must_ and
_will_be_ exposed.

If we do not band together, and start thinking critically, then I
believe that we should quit the UFO field and go home.

As the saying goes, (and please excuse my bluntness, but this was
said to me about the UFO field by yet another journalist who is
working on an expose of Robert Dean) "You can't make chicken
salad out of chicken shit!"

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but we must be _honest_ with
each other here -- and face the music and the public and a
hostile media now, for not policing ourselves and allowing the
Jim Dilettoso's of the world to define what the public thinks
constitutes the UFO field.

At least a few in this subject can say "I told you so," -- not in
an egotistical sense, but in a cautionary sense -- and let this
lesson be learned and this serve as a warning to us all -- either
bring _accountability_ into the UFO field and drum out these con
artists, or don't complain if the media does not take the UFO
issue seriously.

The time has come to walk our talk, rather than turning a blind
eye and pretending REAL credibility exists where in fact, _none_
does.

Now for the REAL challenge: WHO is going to be the next bozo to
send "UFO" pictures to Jim for "scientific testing."

The few who think critically in the UFO field, and now the
mainstream media, will be watching -- and you will be exposed
accordingly, and rightly so.
