Subject: Are Researchers Hiding Abduction Resistence Cases?

Recently, the possibility of resisting abductions came to the
attention of two sober researchers for the Florida MUFON
organization.

The following comes from a CNI News extract of a Florida Today
article:

    "The similarity between the abduction experience and demonic
    possession is very, very close," says Joe Jordan, Brevard/Volusia
    state [section] director for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). ...
    Jordan and his partner, Wes Clark, have begun a research group
    called CE-4 (close encounters of the fourth kind), dedicated to
    studying alleged alien abductions. Its 15 members also belong to
    MUFON, but "nothing we do is necessarily sanctioned by [MUFON
    leadership]," says Clark, a quality control engineer at Kennedy
    Space Center.

    ... Last year he [Jordan] focused on CE-4 research, and
    encountered a Central Florida abductee whose otherwise-typical
    experience had one unique aspect:

    "They had stopped the experience while it was happening. In all
    the time I've been researching, I'd never heard that before."

    Jordan and Clark swear they have three verifiable cases in which
    apparent abduction experiences were halted by believers who called
    on the name of Jesus.

When I learned of this research project, I wrote to Wes Clark asking
for more information. He replied (and gave me permission to further
distribute his reply):

    You may find it interesting that over the last year we have
    acquired dozens of cases through the internet of people who have
    stopped a potential abduction experience by the authority of the
    name of Jesus Christ.

    We have contacted several of the leading researchers in the field
    and every one without exception said, off the record, they have
    hundreds of similar cases, however they felt they could never
    publicly say so as most in the UFO/abduction realm tend to be of
    the New Age persuasion, and the last thing the New Age wants to
    hear is there is authority only in the name of Jesus Christ when
    they are trying so hard to kill Jesus off.  They have their hearts
    set on "Space Brothers."

    We've also found that Christians aren't necessarily immune from
    spiritual attack by the enemy, but most Christians instinctively
    called out for Jesus during these times.  Although Christians get
    results, the sad part is, Most of them don't have the slightest
    idea why it worked.  We believe if the Word of God is properly
    divided, we can know beyond a shadow of a doubt why there is
    authority in the name of Jesus, right down to the individual
    level.

*only* in the name of Jesus, we are interested in the phenomenon in
question: Resisting abduction by invoking the name of Jesus or some
other spiritual personage or by some other similar technique.

We are especially interested in any information regarding the claim
that other UFO/Abduction researchers have evidence that might
corroborate Clark's claims but that they are keeping it 'off the
record'.
