Hi Brian,

One should not make such a quick judgement based on a single case.
The thing to remember is that the Devil too believes in Jesus but
we would certainly not classify him as a "believing Christian".

I have read Fowler's books too about the Betty Andreasson case.
Assuming that we can classify Betty as a "believing Christian",
do we do so simply because she was religious and read the Bible?
We have many religious people here at York U. who have various
opinions of who Jesus is and some of these students even study
the Bible (as part of their course reading lists). I would not
be quick to classify all of them as "believing Christians" though.

I think a reason Betty had her UFO abduction experiences is because
her experiences were not really abductions - she said "yes" when
the aliens asked her "will you follow us". There are many accounts
in the lives of saints where demons made attempts to deceive even
the elect who were not as cautious as they should have been.

Likewise, you must also read their book too before you can come
to an honest opinion. Face it, we all have our personal biases
and beliefs, but one cannot claim that the authors of a book did
extremely poor research without even looking at it.
