The same information appears in the paperback abridgement, 'The UFO Book', available in your local bookstore. Though almost forgotten today, George Van Tassel was arguably the most influential contactee of the 1950s, maybe of all time, even more so than George Adamski. The modern contactee movement begins with the public channelings Van Tassel began in southern California in January 1952. His 'I Rode a Flying Saucer!' appeared the same year, predating the Leslie/Adamski 'Flying Saucers Have Landed' by nearly a year. Jerry Clark
