Nonetheless, I couldn't help myself. I did read the following paragraph because it sounded so strangely familiar: > Some of the scientists had been shown things that changed their > perspective of life and, in almost all cases, greatly disturbed > them emotionally and basically destroyed their personal body of > beliefs and changed their axiology (philosophy of values). > According to the source, they had been shown, from ships to > corpses of aliens. On April 16, 1954, an astral traveler named Gerald Light (aka "Dr. Kappa") wrote occult theorist N. Meade Layne to report his out-of-body observation of scientists observing a crashed and retrieved spacecraft, with occupants, at Edwards AFB in California. Light averred that he had seen "human beings in a state of complete collapse and confusion as they realized that their own world had indeed ended with such finality as to beggar description." See my The Emergence of a Phenomenon, pp. 117-18, for further details. The point is simply this: that whoever made up the story Mr. Lopez is passing on, he cannot be accused of having a creative imagination. Besides being a BS artist, his informant is a plagiarist. It appears that even liars have fallen on hard times. Jerry Clark
