I truly hope that the day has now arrived when most of us
stop reading as soon as "confidential" sources and names
"I cannot divulge" well up before our eyes, in support of
wild and unlikely claims drenched in paranoia and conspiracy.
Nonetheless, I couldn't help myself.  I did read the following
paragraph because it sounded so strangely familiar:

On April 16, 1954, an astral traveler named Gerald Light (aka
"Dr. Kappa") wrote occult theorist N. Meade Layne to report
his out-of-body observation of scientists observing a crashed
and retrieved spacecraft, with occupants, at Edwards AFB in
California.  Light averred that he had seen "human beings in
a state of complete collapse and confusion as they realized
that their own world had indeed ended with such finality as to
beggar description." See my The Emergence of a Phenomenon,
pp. 117-18, for further details.

The point is simply this: that whoever made up the story
Mr. Lopez is passing on, he cannot be accused of having a
creative imagination.  Besides being a BS artist, his
informant is a plagiarist.  It appears that even liars have
fallen on hard times.
