Tests on rain cloud a success, claims US firm

PETALING JAYA: The American company which tested its "technology" that
could purportedly "guide" rain clouds to water catchment areas in the
Klang Valley claimed yesterday that its experiment was a success.

To a question whether his experiments had been fruitful, the man behind
the "technology" -- Trevor James Constable -- said in a telephone
interview: "Yes, I think so."

"I have submitted the results to the rightful authorities. It is in
their hands now," he added.

Asked if he had submitted the results to Deputy Prime Minister Datuk
Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Constable -- the chief operating officer of the
Singapore-registered TJC Atmos Engineering -- said: "Negative".

However, he declined to say how his "technology" worked and how he
measured the success of his experiment saying: "No comment. I don't
have time. I am busy packing up to leave tomorrow for America."

When approached at his hotel room in Kuala Lumpur later, Constable
again declined to be interviewed saying he was busy packing up.

Constable was dubbed a "high-tech bomoh" in 1991 when he claimed he
could solve the Malacca drought by creating rain through manipulation
of chi and ether.

The Government, however, did not pay Constable his fee of RM3.2mil then
because he failed to raise the water level at the Durian Tunggal dam.

He is described as a pioneer in "etheric weather engineering" and has
written several books, including The Cosmic Pulse of Life: The
Revolutionary Biological Power Behind UFOs .

Anwar said last month that the Government had agreed to allow an
American company to work together with Puncak Niaga Sdn Bhd and the
RMAF to "guide" clouds towards water catchment areas to facilitate
cloud-seeding activities.
