I agree that Jeffrey's timing was bad (or good depending on your
perspective). However, I don't subscribe to the theory that the
black gov't got to him directly.  I think it was more likely that
his employer forced him to bring his participation in the UFO
controversy to a close.  After all, pilots have been grounded for
reporting a UFO sighting. Delta couldn't have one of their pilots
continuing in the role of conspiracy advocate.

Now, the gov't might have gotten to Jeffrey indirectly. I suspect
they play more than a small part in the airlines' policy and
treatment of pilots who report foo fighters.

What can we do to repair the damage? Exactly what this JSE
article does:  show the flaws in Jeffrey's "logic". Or, in the
words of one fictional general:

"Spread the word. Let's tell 'em how to take these bastards
down."

BTW, Bob, how was your Paris trip? <g>
