ABSTRACT
UFO activity does not follow random patterns but tends to follow
cycles that are linked to the solar wind events and to the
alignments of the four inner planets, with some connection to the
orbits of Jupiter and Saturn. There is no evidence that sunspot
or interplanetary magnetic field cycles cause an agitation of
mankind or mass hysteria which then leads to an increase of UFO
sightings. Nor does the data about planetary alignments indicate
that valid UFO sightings are caused by the planets being mistaken
for alien ships. Quite the contrary most UFO highs occur during
periods of minimum solar activity, and many times the increase in
reports about UFOs take place when FEWER planets (not more) are
visible.

The IMF (Interplanetary Magnetic Field) data can be used to
predict which days are likely to contain little or no UFO
activity. The prediction can be further refined by including data
about the present interplanetary solar wind velocity and density.
Since the interplanetary wind plasma environment is so highly
linked to UFO activity here on Earth, we can infer that most
glow-craft (UFO) activity originates from interplanetary travel.

The fact that UFO activity rises sharply during periods when
certain planets are in alignment or in specific configurations,
allows us to state with a fair amount of certainty to which
planets the UFO traffic is connected. The Moon is also linked to
the UFO traffic here on Earth because of the light it adds to the
night skies. When these facts are combined with the IMF data we
also gain insight into the nature of the technology of the UFOs
and perhaps the thought processes of the entities who pilot them.

By using all the data described in the report we should be able
to make a UFO Activity Index that would predict UFO behavior
accurately approximately 70% to 90% of the time.

INTRODUCTION

Purpose Of Report
My website has dealt mainly with the subject of UFO bunkers
(bases). It has always aimed toward any technical aspects about
the UFOs that might lead to the discovery of how they fly, who
pilots them, and where their bunkers are located. This includes a
systematic search into UFO routines, routes, bases, and periods
of operation and how such data may correlate with other physical
and natural factors. In keeping with this mission statement, I
investigated several natural phenomena as sunspot cycles,
magnetic storms, and planetary positions to see if these might in
any way connect to UFO flaps. While I quickly determined that
sunspot activity was connected to lows and highs of UFO activity,
it took me another seven months to flesh out the natural
phenomena and physical parameters that were acting as catalysts
or inhibitors in relation to UFO activity and sighting levels.

This paper is but a preliminary report concerning a subject that
needs considerably more investigation. Further study and
evaluation is necessary, and a great deal of refinement will no
doubt take place. Most of the conclusions reached in this paper
are based on data plots of the magnitude of the interplanetary
magnetic field, the solar wind velocity, solar wind density, and
the planetary positions of the four inner planets. Long range
calculations for UFO activity also include the sunspot cycle and
solar activity cycle. The phase and appearance of the Moon and
how this impacts UFO activity is also considered. However, the
Moon does not affect interplanetary travel, but affects UFO
activity from the standpoint of lighting (UFOs tend to prefer
darkness for reasons we will discuss later). Nevertheless, other
parameters and forms of energy partition such as protons,
electron fluence, or the X-Ray Flux values of the interplanetary
region may also provide further refinement of UFO activity
calculations. As yet I have not found any connections, but I have
not spent much time investigating these areas.

What I discovered in my search forced me to both reevaluate and
significantly alter my own views and theories surrounding the ET
/ UFO enigma. As some readers may know, I began my search with
the belief that most UFO activity originated from hidden bases
here on earth. But after completing my studies it became plain to
me that whoever the entities are in control of the glow-craft;
the main ship-activity is coming from sources connected to
distant locations in our solar system at the very least.

Sources For Interplanetary Data
The data used in this report was gathered from several sources on
the Internet. The B(nT) interplanetary magnetic magnitude data
was taken from plots generated at

http://lepmfi.gsfc.nasa.gov/mfi/plots.html

[The WIND MFI Daily Key Parameter Interface], using the GSE
(Geocentric Solar Ecliptic) coordinate system. This website
belongs to the solar wind monitoring NASA spacecraft WIND. Plots
from the GSM (Geocentric Solar Magnetospheric) system were
consulted from time to time, but in the main the GSE plots were
used. The homepage for this site is at

http://lepmfi.gsfc.nasa.gov/mfi/windmfi.html

and provides as good a place as any to begin your investigations
in this area. The solar wind velocity and density data was
gathered from readings that are continuously taken by the SoHO
spacecraft and posted at

http://dxlc.com/solar

[Solar Terrestial Activity Report]; this site is maintained by
Jan Alvestad. This is also where I found most of the data and
charts dealing with geomagnetic data (Planetary A Index), the
sunspot number, and solar flux. It is also a great site for a
solar/geomagnetic weather forecast. For plotting planetary
positions I used the rather handy program called Homeplanet,
version 3, which is freeware downloaded from a site maintained by
John Walker (he has many other neat things there too)

http://www.fourmilab.ch/homeplanet/homeplanet.html

Other websites that offer much information along these lines can
be found on the Internet, but a good place to begin your search
is at the NOAA site at

http://sec.noaa.gov/ace/ACErtsw_home.html

The new ACE spacecraft is providing all kinds of interplanetary
data and pages accessed from the above site and has ‘up to date’
plots of different aspects of the heliosphere and magnetosphere.

Note
WARNING: it is not my place or intent to describe in depth about
the space environment and planetary system. If you would like to
learn more about this subject, try the SEC Primer on the Solar
Space Environment accessed at

http://www.sec.noaa. gov/primer/primer.html

or try the Space Physics Text Book of Oulu at

http://www.oulu.fi/~spaceweb/textbook/Welcome.html

Sources for UFO sighting data
The UFO sighting cycles used in this report were gathered from
several websites that offer sighting information freely. Since
the WIND spacecraft supplied the information that first grabbed
my attention, I was most interested in the years 1995 through
1997. As it turned out The National UFO Reporting Center at
http://www.nwlink.com/~ufocntr has posted data for 1995 and parts
of 1996 on their website. I also used reporting data from the New
Mexico site located at

http://www.artesia.net/~jstyck/cindex.shtml
