Subject: Time Capsule - Where do you fit in?

To All,

I personally can get brain overload with everything I read about
UFOs and its related phenonema. The who, what, where and why of
it all. Recognize any of these?

A. The "Buffs". The UFO enthusiast who buys all available
material merely to read it and "keep up" with the subject.

B. The Reseacher. Being occupied with the information from old
books, magazines, and newspapers in order to fill the gaps of
information relating to UFO's which predate 1947! (Ok, I confess,
I do this!)

C. Research-Writer. "Newcomers" who burst upon the UFO scene when
the activity becomes increased. This individual uses the works of
"others" upon which to base his writings, seldom doing a personal
investigation themselves. An opportuntist.  They bill themselves
as the "foremost authority on UFOs".
(hmmmm... think I know some of these)

D. True Scientific Student. Involved not only in cases with
history but with current events. This person is not a researcher
but a searcher and therefore is considered a student.

E. All Around Authority.  Has a wide diversity of opinions about
the UFO problem. Studies every case which comes in hand. Puts
more emphasis on the suppression of UFO information by the U.S.
government, specifically the Air Force. There may be evidence
that indicate that a secrecy does exist. Some feel that the
government is surpressing this information since it is
unacceptable to the general public.

F. The "Fanzines". A group that whose sole purpose is to
propagate gossip and create confusion. This small group is a
noisy bunch of hobbyist who, lacking contacts must rely on
sensational UFO-connected subjects for attention.

Controversy and competition exists between the above. Most are
created of "egoism".

IS THIS NEW INFORMATION???? Nah. Things have not changed in 30
years!! This was written by Coral and Jim Lorenzen in 1969! So
why, after all this time are we confronted with the same ole,
same ole in 1998! Same thing, different year! No, things do not
always change!
