Please, name names if you're going to make >conspiratorial accusations... >Let me 'shft your paradigm' for you. I don't trust Greer! I posted comments re. The Paradigm Clock that attempted to make essentially one point: that it's going to take hard and cooperative work on our part to expose classified information and conclusions related to UFO events. Obviously I wasn't very clear judging by the two responses. To begin with, in the second response I was accused of making conspiratorial accusations when I observed that more ufologists were wondering if our elected leaders were even aware of classified UFO-related operations and data. I was asked to name names of people with this point of view, as if I were some careless conspiracy buff making wild-eyed accusations, when all I was doing was observing what others have said quite openly. (Ok, some names: Whitley Strieber, Dr. Greer, Tracy Torme). Personally, I have no opinion on this matter due to a profound lack of information available. The first response was likewise puzzling as it was asserted we only had anecdotal evidence to present to the press (and we need to line up more evidence than that. Apparently we don't have enough evidence to make a case. Boy, that was news to me! And probably to ufologists like Ted Phillips who have gathered evidence from thousands of landing trace cass or to the many people who have filmed UFOs. or the radar operators recording radar readings of "UFOs". Perhaps this is a good time to answer Mr. Kaeser's question: What is a UFO student? Answer: Someone who studies UFOs (reported events, the history, the investigations, etc.). I think its fair and accurate to say that even a casual student of UFOs would realize that much more than testimony manifests (in the form of "physical" evidence) in cases of UFO reports. (not in all cases, just some.) In 1993 I was in charge of a demonstration at the White House and our group did a good job in lining up the evidence for many journalists. The evidence was properly characterized and credibly presented. As a result, we received respectful consideration from most of the journalists--especially John Holliman who aired a fair report of our event. Unfortuanately, an AP reporter had a dfferent agenda and latched onto a woman's crazy tale of flying a UFO. Nevertheless, many newspapers edited out that part. Dr. Greer has worked hard and clearly with good results. Sure , he's said and done some stupid things, making him like the rest of us. Clearly, he has raised the awareness of some journalists, members of Congress, and people in the Executive Branch. The attacks on Greer is just more of the strange nastiness andoneupmanship so prevalent in the UFO field.
