  Don,

The main so called investigative source  for the story "Carter
saw Venus"  as I recall comes from one of Phil Klasses skeptical
buds  Robert 'they saw stars' Scheaffer? who blowmouthed that
theory to death in his book.

In the same book he also blowmouthed to death his theory that the
Exter NH sighting of 1965? was stars blah blah.
