Hi Gildas.

To my knowledge, no further independent Magnesium (Mg) isotope
ratio testing on the Ubatuba UFO fragments has been done since
1997 when Dr. Peter Sturrock had Dr. Sam Wang at Elemental
Research in Vancouver, B.C. do the analysis using Inductively
Coupled Plasma - Mass Spectroscopy (ICP-MS) that found the very
unEarthly Mg isotope ratios.  Since there is a possibility the
ICP-MS results may have been misinterpreted because of problems
of interference from other species such as C2, CN, etc., I am
now trying to get the Ubatuba UFO fragments tested again,
possibly using laser induced fluorescence (LIF), which has high
resolution and does not have the interference that the ICP-MS
technique suffers from for certain elements.

As for the text of Dr. Olavo T. Fontes' letter, I probably have
a complete copy at my father's home in Ottawa where I have many
of my UFO books, periodicals and papers.  A slightly edited
version of this letter, dated February 27, 1958, can be found in
William S. Steinman's and Wendelle C. Stevens' excellent book
"UFO Crash at Aztec" (pages 179 to 187).  Since Dr. Fontes was
the Aerial Phenomena Research Organization (APRO) representative
for Brazil, a copy of his letter may still be found in the APRO
files.

You will also find a complete report on the Ubatuba UFO case
including Dr. Fontes' involvement in Coral and Jim Lorenzen's
(founders and co-directors of APRO) book "Flying Saucers - the
Startling Evidence of the Invasion from Outer Space".
