Sighting Report
Date: 27th 4 1999
Time: 8.02pm
Day: Monday
Location: Waterford South Brisbane Qld
Report: Diane Harrison
Miss M Gordon said she was on her way home from the IMAX theatre
Brisbane heading toward Beenleigh, travelling down Logan Road
just past the hospital. When she noticed a very bright light
appear to fall from the Sky. It was the size of a foot ball.
Colour was a brilliant white to start, then has it got closer to
the horizon it changed from a white to a brilliant orange, it
had a very long tail. She said she watched it for some 3 seconds
then it looked like it crashed to the ground.

UFOR NSW Doug Moffet Southern Highlands NSW
Called me and asked if anyone had reported the same object seen
near Barra. Doug said he called the Barra police station and
they said they had only 2 calls relating to the object the rest
where from the media.
He asked the Policeman what he thought it was Quote: A Satellite
crashing to earth. Dough is of the opinion as I am that it could
have been a Bholard I think I spelt it right <G> a type of
"Meteor".
The changing colour from white to orange indicates a carbon
object ,but lets say it was a Satellite, it would have to be big
to crash into the ocean " say the size of Mir and if it was a
satellite would the glow have been
more a greenish colour because of the Aluminium.
What do you say?

Ps I'm baffled by this Australian National Space Centre. It
would appear not even the Australian Government knows of this
one. <G>
