Hi Scott, You've hit the nail squarely on the head. There seems to be a train of thought among doubters that goes something like this: It hasn't happened to me or anyone else that I know, plus it's not the known policy of the US government. Therefore, it doesn't happen. The obvious flaw in this logic is to suggest that it can't happen to the many if it's not known to have happened to the one. The key phrase here is "known to have happened". I seriously doubt if any civilian can prove a documented case for the use of deadly force to protect a top secret facility like Area 51. However, considering the nature of the beast, why should we expect documentation to be made available? It is, after all, top secret. Is it not reasonable to expect security events would be kept secret also? If full disclosure were really a part of the government's policy... No, I'm being too diplomatic here...I'll start over... If the government didn't LIE as a part of its normal everyday policy this list would have nothing to speculate about and we'd also know who really killed JFK! <G> Later, Roger Evans
