Hi Leanne,

Have you ever been on one of the "Ride Film" attractions where
the seats move in conjunction with the movie you're seeing? Or
perhaps one of the many IMAX screenings, 3D or otherwise? In
many ways, the story you relate is an example of a UFO related
question I've thought about for a long time:

"When is 'real' real?"

In the screenings I mention, you go into them _knowing_ that
they are merely a simulation; they're not real. But there
reaches a point during the show when all your senses are fooled
just enough to make your self preservation kick in. You start
grabbing onto things, or you feel dizzy or you're sure that
something is going to hit you, etc.  Deep down, you know it's
not real. But still...

Relating to UFO sightings, I think quite a few people see
something in the sky but, because they don't feel a true sense
of danger or anxiety or awe or whatever, then deep down they
know it probably isn't really an ET or UFO of extraterrestrial
origin.

It might look fascinating and may fill the bill as a classic
description of a UFO, but that "second sense" didn't kick in;
you know, the one that tells you,"Holy crap, this is REAL! Maybe
I better think about getting the hell out of here!"

Of course, the down side to this is possibly that person _does_
get the hell out of there! Unfortunately, that means the most
complete descriptions we have are possibly from people seeing
something that wasn't real because, deep down, they knew it
wasn't and weren't afraid to stick around and watch.

It's too bad we don't have a device to guage this type of
"anxiety response", it might go a long way toward separating out
the authentic sightings.

On the other hand, it might just be glowing algae beneath the
surface!
