Serge, No, it's not a straw-man argument, and Kevin himself has since acknowledged that conference organizers on any subject can invite, or not invite, whomever they choose, without being singled out for criticism. I have no idea what you mean by "turning one's back on analysis" to "advocate `opinions' instead." Agree or disagree with them, Hopkins and Jacobs have spent much time analyzing the abduction phenomenon. Their opinions are not snatched out of thin air but come from a considerable amount of personal investigation and reflection. My opinions, right or wrong, come out of analysis and investigation.
