Surely the first British case, where a fully-trained aircraft
observer saw a triangle flying over the North Sea, counts as a
daytime observation. The witness was a member of the Royal
Observer Corps, and trained to recognise any aircraft in an
instant. He saw a triangle being refuelled by a KC-135, with two
F111s alongside. I don't think you could ask for a better
witness.
