Now we know. Much indebted. Still a point of some curiosity:
What happened to the film at the time? Surely Arnold wasn't a
disgruntled distancer in 1952?

I was, admittedly, referring to some sort of abstract ideal of
history and historians, just as you not infrequently remind us
that, somewhere out there, there must exist a similarly abstract
ideal of ufology and ufologists.
