Still fighting it seems. One's over-cocky, the other is steamed. One strides the mainstream opposed by too few; his erstwhile opponent's _courageously_ new. One narrows scope to a slender percentage, the other is open to data with vintage. One is a scoffer with knee jerk dismissals; the other's employing some truth as his missiles. Filled with his confidence, and the weight of his creed, Goliath was ripe for a fall that he needs. David, well read, was prepared for his role; Goliath shows up with his head in a bowl. Bereft of his homework Goliath's ungainly, and fumbled around for his words so inanely. David slung well, and infused all his points. He cited them, hell -- he was _owning_ the joint! Goliath was caught in his own vicious trap, he hadn't prepared and was pinned to the mat! Stone marked and bleeding he writhed on the floor, and proved at the last that his less was not more. Goliath was vanquished for arrogance, friend. He dies on a cross for his close minded kin. And the sneers from his camp were the stones that were used in the sling of a righteous, experienced Jew. Round and around went the weight of his sling; his arguments whistled like fiery stings on the physics, the cosmic, and base relativity! Goliath was mired in failure's proclivity; the books were unread in the search for an answer to excise our ignorance -- our cognitive cancer. David could _read_ and he read the man's book. He's studied the subject; he rocks and he cooks. Goliath, assured of his glorious might, that's _he's_ to prevail in a "no contest" fight, was covered with gaps in his armor of science that weakened his impact and eroded reliance. Goliath was beaten, but lived to admit that the intrepid David had merit and grit. Dismissal's outrageous, Goliath's concluded. The argument's valid, and the thought has intruded that space is a huge place, completely unknown, and it's filled to the _brim_ with anomalous foam! Lost in its hugeness is mind _undefined_ by concepts that limit and keep us *confined*. We hold to the tails of our timid tradition -- are blind to the front by this backward position. Complacent, believing proud science will win, we turn a blind eye to the fringe that begins just a mean tiny distance from what we now know is the little we know of what's hidden there, Bro! What can be measured; what can be seen? What is seen _changes_ to fit _any_ scheme! David's won out once again 'cause he's _right_. His scholarship _proves_ what is seen is the light! He has what compels me to question the man, for all the man's blandishment or well earned elan. He had the right stones, and he hurled them well. Degrees will mean nothing if buying to sell. So flourish proud science with arrogance (spite!) -- and feel that stone as _your_ forehead it strikes! Lehmberg@snowhill.com Don't you just love that Jeff Rense show! It was not the trouncing of proud, jealous, and disdainful representatives of mainstream science by Stanton Friedman that was so satisfying. It was the demonstration that for all of science's rock hard reliability and useful efficacy, most science representatives (with respect to the gracious, even tempered, and seemingly honest Dr. Kraus) do not do the real _homework_ (or accept the real challenges) of science. Moreover, they will not even question what can't be readily measured, repeatedly and predictably observed, or recorded. They are quick to dismiss, without investigation, 98% of a conjectured reality to sit haughtily, and jealously at the top of their guarded little hill. Apologists for this *mean* Science, like Goliath, have yet to discover that man "does not live by bread alone", and in the end it is that which will _always_ bring a sneering "Goliath" down.
