Black just about defines the notion of self-appointed judge, jury,
and executioner. Even when I agree generally with the point
he's trying to make (this happens, I'd guess, about half the time),
his screeds give me the sort of feeling that I can only compare to
the sort of psychic agony one suffers when one hears fingernails
scraping a blackboard.

Thanks for speaking out.  It's time somebody did.  If Jerry
Black has a real contribution to make to this subject, let him
make it.  He can start by canning the self-righteous rants.
