I would state more in the line; >>'Each time you see a electric bill, think what could had been if >>Tesla had his way. Free power.'.< >Free power? I believe Tesla wanted to transmit power "through >the air" to receivers everywhere... _but_... that power had >to be generated... and paid for... at the source. Not "free. You are correct. The transmitting stations would have had to be built in a network around the world...this would have required money...and there were the receivers...they would have been sold to the public...but there would not have been the continuous draining of the pocketbooks by greedy industrialists. New homes, new receivers. Upkeep on the transmitting equipment and continuous improvement as the technology developed... the masses would have had to pay... but not as they do today. >Westinghouse realized that he couldn't make any money on power >transmitted through the atmosphere....but could make money on >power lines, so didn't support Tesla's "atmosphere" power >transmission. Westinghouse was a greedy industrialist. He couldn't make money fast enough...Nor could he spend it. He and his fellow industrialists are responsible, not only for the jobs which people "bondage" themselves to, but also for the poverty and war in the undeveloped nations as well as the Develped nations... Warmongers every one of them. Warring against the "little" man...if no one else. Waring against anyone who might prove to be competitors...aren't you proud to associate yourself with them? >Incidently, it is my opinion that if the Tesla power >transmission system had become operational... it would have >generated too much electrical (radio frequency) noise for the >weak signals from the original radio transmitters to be detected >by the early receivers which were not very frequency selective. >Hence it seems to me possible that if Tesla's power system had >been developed we might not have radio (or at least it wouldn't >have begun as early in the 20th century as it did) Not so...there would have been transmission stations spaced evenly along the grid and thus the amount of power transmitted would not have to been as great from station to station as they would if only two or three had been erected. But you miss one important point. He had already realized that the most effecient method of transmission was through the earth's crust itself. Had he been allowed to continue with his development of this system, we would not have all the line noise we preceive as we drive our cars along rural roads and attempt to listen to AM radio signals. As far as radio goes, You seem to forget that Tesla was the inventor of this device, Not Marconi. He already knew of Am and FM frequencies. He would have taken care of that in due time...but he didn't get the opportunity, did he??? As far as AM radio goes, it sucks... A person surrounded by metal buildings cannot receive it anyway... thus we are stuck with FM... which limits the selection of information based on the programing of the stations around us. Where I live, we don't get the Information Radio Programs on FM... only on AM... so Talk Radio is kept from me during my working hours. Yet, thanks to audio tape, I still manage to listen to many of the radio programs which are not being sucked into the deception generated by the forces who's aim is to instigate rebellion among the youth of our nation and create situations such as Littleton, Colorado... As one person likes to say: Wake UP America! REgards, Mike
