It's watching us get way off beam, and surge way off our track. It's watching our distraction as it teases us to try what has _not_ one time, no, _never_ worked -- to keep the "proud blind eye". We make some kids out monsters! We shower them with hate! We say our prayers to punish them, but find it's much too late. They're dead and gone with those they took, and found this life distressing, as they reveled in their hot revenge a moments peaceful blessing? They frankly quite enjoyed themselves, I heard a witness say, they struck back from some depth we shan't explore -- where we won't pray! Much *cleaner* they're just *monster's* and they murdered glowing *saints* -- but just a small reflection, and that's not such sticky paint. And don't bore me with _dismissal_ that I JUSTIFY their actions. That "man of straw" shan't raise it's sullen head. It is _tragic_ that it ended in a shoot out from a movie that was poorly written, ignorant -- to _dread_. But _tragic_ , also, was the ground that made the *monsters* happen, that fed them on a diet they despised. Torment, persecution, a disrespect that they could _breath_. The jocks, say, *over bearing* as proscribed? There's the *In* crowd and the *Out* crowd, and the twain must somehow meet. As IT now is, it festers with elitist driven grief. Kids now live in terror of the "In" crowds retribution as it plies its _predilection _ for the common persecution. Our high schools ruled by *tyrants* is the awful, sordid truth(?) and not _completely_ innocent, those killed condoned abuse? How many's lived in torment of the proud athletic 'swaggers' as they strode the halls of high school -- landed *lords*. How many dissed their dweebies as the dog dirt on their shoes, as they shopped the malls in leisure playing loud, and fast, or loose. Survivors speak of "hatred" and an *in* crowd run amuck. Survivors speak of years of spiteful torment hard to truck. And not in isolation so infrequent they forgot, but _well_ ingrained and _usual_ and now LOOK what it's begot. It's all about the *different* when they _shall_ not fit the mold. It's all about *acceptance* that's withheld by haughty scolds. It's all about the *disrespect* that _some_ hold out to others when the others can't compete the way that _some_ can, I've discovered. Many live a hell on Earth to suit the whims of _few_. The high ground, few are holding, is unjust and way askew. Sports is well nigh worshiped as the providence of *some* that treat the rest as peasants -- like they're common garden scum. Slapped and stoned -- and bottles thrown for weeks and months and years. Mornings dread, "stay home instead", and fester with the fear. Hatch a plot to make them _pay_, the bullies find they _rue_ the day they slapped the kid with ears like handles, or treated harsh weird kids in sandals. You drove them to their dark cloth dusters -- kept them to their tiny clusters. You flicked their heads and thumped their hearts, and forced on them their crummy parts. You called them "pussies", "skanky hogs " you treated homely girls like dogs. You lived a life producing fear, and squeal, too loud, now you it spears! Lehmberg@snowhill.com James Neff over at sightings.com has a revealingly interesting, and likely _valid_ take on the Colorado tragedy, and school shootings in general. More should take a breath, screw up a little more REAL courage to have a look at it. A most casual application of personal honesty reveals its ring of truth. We create our own tragedy, misfortune, and disaster closing the proverbial door after the horses escape. The militant homosexual, numbing communist, and organized criminal et al are created in reaction to _similar_ stimulus. Add to that list, now, many of the kids shooting up our public schools. This kind of behavior would keep ME buried on the "dark side of the moon" -- _well_ back from any conclusive admission that I even existed. I would HIDE from us, but watch us very closely. So might conjectured watchers. It's all about respect for individuality, isn't it. And isn't it abundantly clear that the more of that one _has_ the greater and more efficacious the _total_ progression for _all_ concerned?
