Hi Greg,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there is no such thing
as a "speed to the 27th power" whether it is the speed of light
to the 27th power or the speed of sound to the 27th power or the
speed of a snail to the 27th power. A "speed" to the 27th power
is _no longer speed at all_ .

You cannot use it to measure the time it takes a signal to reach
South Africa or wherever because it no longer has the dimensions
of distance per time, or L/T in physics. The numbers will
differ radically just by changing the measuring units,
miles/sec, cm/sec, or light-years per year when taken to the
27th power (try it, you won't be able to make any sense out of
it).

For example, in the units of light-years (a valid distance
measure used all the time by astronomers) per year, the speed of
light is 1 ly/yr. When that "speed of light" in those units of
speed is taken to the 27th power it is _still just_ 1 but in
units of light-years to the 27th power per year to the 27th
power, which again is nonsense and not any sort of "speed" at
all. (1 to any power is still 1.) But in this example you do
_not_ have any wild numbers to the 142nd power because the units
are different and incompatible as any sort of speed or velocity.

The units of this so-called "speed" are _not speed_ (which has
the dimensions of L/T in physics) but "miles to the 27th power"
per "second to the 27th power" or whatever your arbitrary choice
of units, representing dimensionally Length to the 27th power
divided by Time to the 27th power which is _no longer_ Length
per unit Time. It is all nonsense to try to derive a time
interval from Colorado to South Africa based on something that
doesn't give you "time" at all, but "time to the 27th power."
It's mindless absurdity.

Let me give you an example: Speed to the 2nd power (instead of
27th power) is _not_ some higher form of "speed" but something
entirely different, it is Kinetic Energy Density per unit mass.
Speed to the 27th power is just pseudoscience cobbled up to
impress those who are unfamiliar with physics. The hoaxer does
not understand that a speed to the 27th power is not any sort of
super fantastic "speed" at all, but he thinks it is, and has
just thrown some words together that sounds impressive.

Regards,

Brad Sparks
