Dear list members:

For those who may not have seen it, here is my computer map of
the great French wave of October 1954.

Late October and Early November, the wave seemed to spill over
into central Italy.

It was often said/written that if enough data came in, countries
adjoining France would probably show a similar wave.

To date, and with hundreds of sources, such evidence has not
appeared here.

Europe: Sept - Nov 1954.

These sightings are shown as 3-pixel white marks for visibility.
Data is for 3 months only: September thru November 1954.

The vast majority of these were in October.

While most sightings were in France, activity then shifted into
Italy by late October.

This is the largest single UFO wave on record.

One cartoon of that time depicts townspeople laughing at the
village idiot.

"He's the one who didn't see the flying saucers!" says the
caption.
