Subject: BellSouth.net Causing List Problems




Several Bell South users are without UpDates and that ISP caused
backups of out-going mail to List subscribers with their 'SPAM
Block' SMTP software.

Apparently there was a massive Spam problem a couple of days
ago originating from Bell South.

The following is from my ISP's Network Abuse Specialist:

At this time all mail to and from that domain is being blocked
due to the lack of cooperation from the admin team of
bellsouth.net in dealing with a constant spam problem
originating from their domain.  This action was taken as a last
resort after all attempts by GlobalServe to have a resolution to
this issue were ignored by the bellsouth.net people.  All e-mail
traffic to and from this domain will be blocked until an
administrator from bellsouth.net contacts myself or another
member of the GlobalServe Systems Administration Team.

I encourage you to contact your friends and have them call
bellsouth.net and inform them of their dissatisfaction over the
lack of co-operation in dealing with the spam issues that caused
this block to be put in place.
