Dear Friends,

When I wrote the letter announcing my departure from the UFO
community, I expected to receive some negative
email...especially from some who have installed themselves in
their own hallowed halls of research...and self-generated
legend.  To my amazement I was totally wrong.

99% of all the mail was kind and positive.  It was so supportive
and understanding that I felt it important to post each and
every message, the good with the bad. It is my way of
acknowledging and thanking each one of you for your kind and
often humbling words of support and good wishes.

I wrote my letter to hopefully help some of you become a little
better able to recognize and detect some of the vile and
dangerous people in UFOlogy.  We need to get on with our lives
and support serious research, and the great human journey to the
stars that is just beginning. It is my hope that people will
once again commence to support the space program as Americans
did in the sixties...that support is what took us to the Moon.

The men and women at NASA were then among the greatest heroes in
the history of the human race.  After all...they conquered the
moon.  It is a greatness that will not be achieved again until
we set human feet on the surface of Mars.  The sooner we do
this, the sooner many of the great questions that plague our
minds will be answered.  It's all out there, if we just have the
integrity and guts to go after it.

The bad guys are misdirecting our energies. These individuals
are not from the intelligence community but from the very center
of the circles of UFOlogy that many of us have passed through.
This is not, for a moment, to say they are all bad - just like
all cops aren't bad cops - but it's important to know your
enemy. The same mix of good and bad is found in any
bureaucracy...be it UFOlogy or NASA.

Some are human and make mistakes, and others abuse their power
by acting out of passion.  Still others are sociopathic and have
no morality as we commonly know it. And so it goes.  The overall
problem, of course, is the individual...not the agency, or study
of UFOs.

The upside is that, in reality, you control those distorted and
misdirected people.  You empower them...and you can easily
choose to disempower them and free yourself to pursue your own
vision and dreams without some heavy-handed ego trying to force
a personality, and paradigm, on you.

Demand respect for yourself and encourage that by stopping
support of all the sleazy UFO books and videos.  Stop attending
so-called UFO conferences that treat the subject as a carnival
often displaying large inflatable aliens and booths selling
'real' pieces of crashed UFOs.   Treat UFOlogy as you would like
it to treat you:  with respect, kindness, and deliberation.
UFOlogy is not a game.  If things don't change soon, all that
will be left are the con artists and hustlers who caused all the
trouble in the first place.

So, my thanks and sincere respect go to all of you who are
supporting not just me, but the truth. You see, it's really not
'out there'...rather, it is inside each and every one of us who
loves and dreams of a better future.
