It might be very quick to get what they need by killing the animal, which apparently doesn't bother them. Saying they needn't kill to monitor presupposes we can fathom what they're looking for. Do you claim to speak for them on that? And the ethics of killing? Well, anyone monitoring us probably knows by now that most of our cattle wind up in meat packing plants anyway.
