If you turn to page 273 in The Book, the Savior speaks: "In fact, the U. S. military has better, more accurate, and more powerful weapons for killing UFOs than were deployed in the movie "Independence Day." "We can knock these guys down tomorrow with high-energy lasers and directed particle=beam weapons that come right out of a "Star Wars" movie. And these aren't fiction, they're fact. If you want to know move, pay a visit to the U. S. Army Space Command Website on the Internet. The missile-launched HELs ar the pride of our planetary defense system and a direct result of President Reagan's courage in pushing for the Strategic Defense Initiative when everyone said it wouldn't work. And that SDI was a direct result of the work General Trudeau and I did at Army R&D in 1962. "Sometimes things just work the way they're supposed to. Sometimes, once in a very long while, you get the chance to save your country, your planet, and even your species at the same time....." We know this is true because many people here say that Corso was an honorable man. A man who would not lie. Just one question then, what was that little exercise the other day to try to shoot down another missile? Why should we need that at all, if Corso's claims are true? If we can shoot down ET at will, a simple ballistic missile ( i. e. an object stuck in the gravity well with no great evasion capability) is child's play. A $100,000,000 test failure is just a cover up for the Phil Corso's defense system? Yes, of course, I'll say it first, so no one has to post it. Like Tarzan swing through the jungle on vines, some in the UFO field swings from one set of weirdness to another. Now comes MJ-12 back again. It is interesting that posters have done little independent digging, except it seem for Greg. Nice work Greg! The MJ-12 seems to be modeled after material from General George Marshall's papers. In fact, one MJ-12 document from the first set had an altered letter from Marshall to Republican presidential candidate Dewey concerning the Japanese "Magic" code intercepts in 1944. The dates and and names had been changed and the word Majic substituted for the word Magic. You won't find any mention of this in the Woods' work. Actually, the Woods go out of their way *not* to detect any problems with the MJ-12 documents. As previously mentioned, the style of the Marshall letters and messages are incorporated into the MJ-12 documents. Although military Top Secret documents from the 1947 era had Top Secret control numbers, TS documents during World War II did not. One can view various TS documents with the control numbers at the Project 1947 website: http://www.project1947.com/ This is the first hint. Cooper's first set of documents do not. I expect any new documents from Cooper on MJ-12 will incorporate them now. If you will notice, some documents in Cooper's first set are addressed to the Director of Naval Intelligence. During WW II, it was indeed the Director of Naval Intelligence. However, about October 1945 the title changed to Chief of Naval Intelligence. So the Cooper 1947 documents are wrong. Director of Naval Intelligence again became the title about 1948. Two years of research on the Wood's part did not detect this. Second hint. "Eyes Only." Marshall had summaries of the most important Magic intercepts distributed daily to various US officials, President, Adm Leahy, etc. He had a list and only those officials were allowed to see the papers. Additional many were mark "Eyes Only." This is not a security classification, however. As many of Marshall's message to Devers, Eisenhower, etc were marked Top Secret, "Eyes only General Devers." Marshall and General Hap Arnold exchanged letters about Arnold's health situation in which Arnold would mark the letters for Marshall "secret (eyes only)." Where did the word "Majestic" come from? Well, I am not going to tell, do your own research. It is more satisfying that way. Now we have the Eisenhower Briefing document which has one scenario and the Cooper MJ-12 documents that have another. Both can't be right. Most haven't noticed the contradictions. Stan Friedman and the Woods will be at the MUFON conference; so one would expect sparks to fly, but in keeping with "not being negative" no contradictions will be mentioned. I don't think we will hear any comments at all about these two different scenarios. Friedman and the Woods have indeed taken swipes at each other. Friedman mentioned that some of Cooper's documents were "parodies." of other documents. The one thing the Woods have done, is brought to light that SOM 1-01 came from Kirtland AFB. What honest, upstanding, honorable military man associated with Bill Moore also came from Kirtland? Now someone recently posted a number of characteristics of MJ-12 that his informant told him about. He missed one. Incredibly stupid! As pointed out before, SOM 1-01, is completely silent about overhead cover to prevent observation of any UFO recovery from the air or from higher ground. Has no one heard of camouflage nets? Something a pilot or any Army guy would be familiar with: the necessity of overhead cover. But an OSI type who has probably never seen a field exercise? If you were never close to a field exercise you wouldn't think of that. Of course, may be MJ-12 is incredibly stupid. They do leave manuals and paperwork where it can easily be copied and transferred to Cooper's mail box. One ufologist told me he was relectant to write an expose of the Cooper papers as it would just tell the hoaxers how to do it better the next time. A valid concern, I believe. Actually, looking at the latest crop of MJ-12 stuff, it is less convincing than the former. However, I do believe that subsequent material found in Cooper's mail box or more likely sent directly to the Woods will be much better and will no longer reflect the sytle of doucments found in the Marshall Papers. Since Cooper has a wide range of FOIAs in right now, on diverse subjects, I expect that the new MJ-12 documents will reveal a number of changes in style and content. The main things about the MJ-12 documents, we don't know where they came from, and we can't find any link in the real world. Jan Aldrich
