A "peon" at the Hoover Institute writes (4/17/95)...

"Believe me you do not want to be related to him. He was 
forcibly retired about two years ago -- for general senileness or 
drunken-ness -- it's hard to tell which. He got a real sweetheart 
deal -great salary, retirement payoff, limo, etc. He still shows 
up almost every day to harass the new director. It took a long 
time to get him out of the directors office." [2186]

Hoover Institute for War and [something-something] at
Stanford University.  It got a lot of news during the Reagan
adminstration.
