I immediately hit record, and this is what I got. I missed the first part, so if anyone managed to see this, I would be most grateful to them if they could help me fill in the gaps. Note: I tried to approximate the spelling of the names as nearly as I could. The style of the "American Journal" segment was mainly voiced over montage. Where it is significant I have attempted to provide what action was taking place on the screen. Also, where Santilli and others stammer and hesitate, I have included that as well. From a psychological standpoint, I felt that it was important. Cheers! dpk ****************************************************** "American Journal" Santilli Autopsy Footage Segment 09/06/95 (*First part of program was missed.*) ......... (Scene from the FOX autopsy program.) Santilli: It's not a question of the Hitler diaries, or...or, or, or, a situation like that. All we're doing is placing it in to the public domain and saying, "Look, here it is, please investigate it." Narrator: The FOX program did include some who thought the alien autopsy was a hoax, and Santilli does admit the film was digitally enhanced, but only to make it look less grainy. (Shot of Santilli in his office.) Interviewer: We've seen _Forrest Gump_. Was it digitally enhanced to put things in there that were not there? Santilli: Absolutely not, and I object to that question as well. (Scene of Cate looking over film segment.) Narrator: Santilli says he has proof that the film was dated and authenticated by one of the largest film manufacturers in the world, Eastman Kodak. In the FOX program, Santilli says Kodak chose this man, Lawrence Cate, to do the job. (Shot of Santilli in his office.) Santilli: They directed our people straight to... uhh, the, uhh... the department that dealt with film verification. (Back to Cate in lab.) Cate: There is no film verification department, that's the uhh, umm. what I'm getting a chuckle out of. (Scene showing Cate looking at film segment, then displaying film dating symbols.) Narrator: Cate spent just 20 seconds looking at the code markings on a small strip of film they gave him. Cate told them the film could have been manufactured in 1947. Or 1927. Or even 1967. (Cate, seated.) Cate: My new nickname is Authenty.... Cate. So... uh... it's a bit of a joke. And we take it as a joke because I certainly did not authenticate it. (Scene of Dr. Demaio (sp?) viewing autopsy footage on monitor and pointing to "corpse", possibly leg wound.) Demaio: What the Hell is that? Narrator: That's the reaction of medical expert Dr. Dominique Demaio who's performed 20,000 autopsies himself. When the former chief medical examiner of New York City saw the alien autopsy footage, this was his expert opinion. Demaio: I would say it's a lot of bull. You know what I mean? (Shot of Santilli in his office.) Santilli: Medical experts all over the world have now examined the film. They all agree that the... that the creature is flesh and blood. Narrator: Well, not quite. (Scene of Demaio pointing to head and neck of "alien corpse" on the monitor.) Demaio: I can't see any blood dripping, uh. in this particular area and that's... always makes me... wonder why there's no blood there. (Shot of Lazzarini in front of monitor displaying autopsy footage.) Lazzarini: A scalpel cutting into a synthetic body is one of the easiest things you can do. Narrator: Special effects guru Rick Lazzarini has worked with aliens before. He helped create the sinister space creatures that menaced Sigorni Weaver in the movie _Aliens_. (Scene from _Alien_ or _Aliens_.) (Shot of Lazzarini walking towards the camera holding a model of a human head.) Narrator: We asked Lazzarini if he could duplicate the scalpel cutting effect like the one in the autopsy film. (Scene of scalpel incision and blood oozing from alien autopsy footage.) Narrator: In just 10 minutes, this is what he showed us. (Lazzarini makes an incision from the right ear to the right eye of the model human head. Blood oozes from the cut.) Lazzarini: He's a bleeder! Narrator: At that point, we showed him these incredible photos obtained by "American Journal". (Shot of Lazzarini looking at pictures.) Lazzarini: Oh, wow! (Sequence of pictures sent recently to _The Fortean Times_ showing makeup or paint being applied to a model of an alien head.) Narrator: Could these 3 black and white photos be definitive proof of a hoax? They show an alien-like being remarkably similar to the one in the autopsy film, but Santilli says there's a difference... in the mouth, nose and neck. But in one picture, a man in a white suit similar to the person in the autopsy film is seen applying paint from a palette to what appears to be a man-made alien. Lazzarini's opinion of the autopsy film? Lazzarini: My first reaction is that... it's a well planned fake. Narrator: Those still photos were sent anonymously to a British publication and obtained by "American Journal". Until we know more about them, it's impossible to know if they're just a hoax designed to discredit Ray Santilli. But don't count on Santilli's army cameraman to clear things up. Santilli says he wishes to remain anonymous. And on his home video, Santilli added this disclaimer. That the footage, quote, "has not yet been verified." (Shot of Santilli in his office.) Interviewer: Could you give us a piece of the film to test independently? Santilli: No. I have no agreement with you. (Shot of collage of documents and other MJ-12ish stuff.) Narrator: While people scratch their heads wondering if aliens may have landed on Earth 50 years ago, for Ray Santilli it doesn't make a difference. As long as the video orders keep rolling in. (Shot of Santilli in his office. Woman brings papers to his desk.) (Shot of Santilli seated.) Santilli: Certainly we're a commercial company. I didn't get involved in the film for love. (End of segment.) Hostess: And Santilli claims that he has evidence that President Truman himself went to Roswell for the autopsy, but we confirmed that on that date, July 8, 1947, President Truman was on an official visit to Ottawa, Canada. When we come back, a first day of school for a royal prince. ******************************************************
