Subject: UFO SIGHTINGS.

FOR GENERAL  USE OF UFOMIND.

When I was twelve years old, in 1952,
I was playing on the monkey bars of
the playground in Arlington Heights
housing project in Pittsburgh, PA.

It was dusk on a clear cloudless evening
and there was not a cloud in the sky.
Suddenly from the North Eastern sky
at an approximate altitude of 50 k feet
appeared an eliptical glowing disk.
Its color was a glowing yellowish red.

It traveled across the sky in a Southwesterly  direction  on a flat
trajectory at  an incredible speed no
aircraft could match, then or now.  It
crossed the horizon in ten seconds
flat.  No one else was close  enough
to discuss it with, and I never  talked
about it for years.  Being a natural
sceptic,  I thought I was seeing things.

Last year, I mentioned the event to
my younger brother, (He's 54).  I
was dumbfounded when he disclosed
to me that he had been on the play-
ground that night and had seen it too.
He described to me the occurance
and his discription was identical to
mine.

It is my only encounter of the first kind.
