| Report Summary |
There are so many reports from this mini-flap that it would be impossible
to summarize them all. A few examples will have to suffice.[footnote
1]
2/26/83; 8 PM - A mental health clinic worker and her daughter observe an
object carrying an estimated 50 flashing lights of multiple colors and a
large flashing light. The object was estimated to be between 200 and 300
feet across. Radio interference (a hiss) was heard. That same evening a
similar object was seen by a teacher and two air traffic controllers, and
reported to be a boomerang in shape at an estimated 1000 foot altitude.
There was no sound.
10/28/83; 2:15AM - A biomedical engineer observes a boomerang shaped flying
wing with 9 red lights and a red ray inspect a reservoir. The witness was
within a few hundred feet of the object and estimated its minimum altitude
at 15 feet above the water. The object departed slowly. There was no sound.
3/17/83; 8:40 PM - a housewife witnesses a large boomerang shaped object
with numerous lights and a brighter central light over the nearby interstate
highway. It then passes over a neighbor's home and shines a light on the
neighbor. The object is described by that witness as a V with the point
down toward the earth, about 120 feet across. Many other witnesses report
the object.
6/14/84, 7/24/84; An object described as an arc of lights with a distant
trailing light is witnessed at the Indian Head nuclear power plant by security
staff. Security systems are interfered with. The object is estimated to
be between 300 and 900 feet in size. Area residents confirmed the observations. |
